Welcome to fayEtta

My path to wine was not the usual one. I moved to the Willamette Valley for school at University of Oregon but it was in Ireland, at a Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Centre, that I first learned about Biodynamic farming and consequently, regenerative agriculture. My fascination and passion for farming led me to wine and to experience across all facets of the industry: hospitality, national sales, winemaking, and of course, vineyard management. All the ingredients I needed to launch FayEtta successfully.

I am incredibly lucky to have honed my skills and gained unparalleled experience with some of Oregon’s best vineyards and wineries. To do the best work, you must learn from those who do it best and I have been privileged to spend time working with some incredible mentors, including Ken Pahlow and Erica Landon of Walter Scott, where I am also the Assistant Winemaker. Their support has given me the opportunity to follow these wines all the way through from my vineyard to the Walter Scott cellar, where they’re made and cared for alongside the WS wines.

When I’m home and not on the tractor, you can usually find me running after a litany of chickens, ducks, goats, cows, cats, dogs, and one ornery goose, alongside my husband, Maged. We are happy to be building our life amidst the amazing community here in the Willamette Valley, where there is never a shortage of people ready and willing to share advice, a piece of much-needed equipment, or a nice bottle of wine.

VISITING FAYETTA

A visit to FayEtta is more than a chance to taste the wines. It’s a chance to walk the vineyard, pet the cows, and understand more deeply what regenerative farming can do for the soil, the animals, and the people that live there; what it means when everything works in harmony, taking and giving in a continuous, beneficial eco-system that elevates the whole and makes it greater than the individual parts would be on their own.

Request TO Visit

We are a small team who live and work on our property, and unfortunately are not able to accommodate all visit requests. But we love planners so the more advance notice we can get, the better!
